Traditional Geothermal Hangi Meal

A Hangi is a traditional Maori meal. At Whakarewarewa our Hangi is cooked in the bubbling geothermal waters and steam of Whakarewarewa Valley and produces a unique flavour which is simply delicious. Hangi experiences can be booked alongside our Whakarewarewa Village Tours, where you can choose from a full Hang meal, our famous hangi meal, or be tempted by the sweet corn on the cob as a taster.
