Starts with an exhilarating 15-minute water taxi ride across beautiful Lake Tarawera.
We travel in our all weather boat through the Ariki Arm to Hot Water Beach, where you will have plenty of time to explore its amazing geothermal features – the sand is warm enough for a fisherman to cook freshly caught trout!
Along the way we will describe the area’s extraordinary history and unique ecosystem.
From Hot Water Beach we take another short boat trip along the bush-lined lake edge to the Natural Bush Hot Pool. This is your opportunity to lie back in the crystal clear tempered waters to enjoy an unspoilt native forest setting.
After 40 minutes of bliss we coax you out of the pool to begin the return journey across the lake.
